Jimmy and Ligia Van Rosi, a husband and wife team originally from Kenya, have made a significant mark on the music scene in the greater Toronto area. For over 22 years, they have brought a unique blend of easy listening and dancing music to their audiencesPatriotic | Contemporary | Sentimental
Performing as the Van Rosi Duo, they bring their multicultural background to life by singing in Kiswahili, English, and Creole, a French patois from the Seychelles. Their music has resonated with many, particularly within the Kenyan community in Canada. In 2008, they were invited to perform at various Kenyan occasions, including fundraising events, Madaraka Day celebrations, and Jamhuri Day celebrations organized by the Kenya High Commission in Ottawa and the Kenya Community in Ontario. Their contributions to the community extend beyond entertainment, as they have also been involved in Canadian Legion events and cancer fundraising efforts across Ontario.Patriotic | Contemporary | Sentimental
Our Performance
Our energy and versatility can turn an ordinary event into a party. With our extensive playlist, we are able to tailor our performances to our audience who are able to sing along with old favorites and dance to great classic songs. Our ability to customize our music and perform at corporate events, fund raisers, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, etc., make us very popular musical entertainers.

Our Accomplishments
We have performed at: Kenyan events both in and around Toronto and for the Kenya High Commission in Ottawa; Mayoral and Federal fundraisers in Newmarket and Aurora; North York and Carrassauga International music festivals; Canadian seniors and veterans’ events; Canadian Legion; the Masonic Society; Rotary and Lions’ Clubs events in Ontario; Cancer, M.S., Diabetes and Dementia fund raising events in Southwestern Ontario. Gospel singing events in Toronto and Newmarket.
