I would like to say that the songs performed by the two of you at the recent Canada@150 and Kenya Madaraka Day celebrations in Ottawa, brought back lots of fond memories about my childhood while growing up Nairobi, as they would often be heard on the VoK radio. I will certainly spread the word about your wonderful musical services and look forward to another opportunity to meet in the near future! Nimeshukuru!

Most of my colleagues from diplomatic missions were very impressed by your singing of the national anthems. All were happy and they have very kind words to say about your music. I may never get sufficient words to express my gratitude but kindly take this email as my heartfelt appreciation of your friendship with me, with Kenyans and patriotism to our country, Kenya. It is sad that we did not have time to chat because i left for another appointment when you were still on stage. It's a long time since I witnessed or enjoyed Kenyan Music or rather Kenyan patriotic songs until I attended the KCO Madaraka celebrations last weekend. The funny thing is that the music you entertained us with is so rare in the market that I'm not sure I will get an opportunity to listen to it else where in its entirety. May be this opportunity will come in your other performance that I will have a chance to attend. The Kenya High Commission staff were so touched by your talent and skills in music. We will not hesitate to contact you in future when we have an event or function so that Kenyans in Ottawa can also have a taste and a feel of authentic Kenyan Music.

The Western Heads East Project held a fundraiser called "In The Market For Western Heads East." Guests arrived to the experience of an East African market with stalls featuring food and wine pairings, art for sale, poster programs of student interns, a silent auction and buskers about the room. Guests entered to the upbeat tempo of Van Rosi who created the vibrant mood of a market with their traditional African folk music. Dignitaries such as the High Commissioners and Ambassadors of Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia and Zimbabwe, as well as the campus community at The University of Western Ontario commented on how the event brought the warmth of Africa to a winter night in London, Ontario. Thank you Jimmy and Ligia Van Rosi for sharing your talent and energy which contributed to the warmth of Africa at the event.

It was so kind of you to generously give up your Sunday, and play for such a long time, and hopefully one of these days we can get together and have a good chat without you being on duty all the time!! I did enjoy the time we had at the end, and Jimmy is a great story teller!!! Thank you too for the CD for the raffle. At the end of the day Judy had collected some cheque donations too, which helped swell her funds for the Kenya projects. Everyone had a wonderful time, and this was one of the best get-togethers we have had, thanks to you both. Asante Sana!!!

The Van Rosi Trio was in Elliot Lake accompanying Elvis Priestly I was at each performance and took a different friend each night, both evenings we enjoyed all the music performed, the guitar music was exceptional. We all would truly like to see them back again in our community and at Gentle Shepherd Church. A friend and I bought your CD and enjoyed it very much, I can say we would like to have a CD with the guitar music that you played those evenings, that would be wonderful to have.

Van Rosi, this dynamic musical duo, turned an ordinary event into a party with their lively music. Their energy and versatility engaged all of us present, stirring us to sing along with old favourites, to dance to great pop songs, or to smile in amazement at songs they've never heard before. Jimmy Van Rosi is a musician of incredible range, singing and playing each song with brilliant flair. Ligia Van Rosi complements him perfectly on keyboard and vocals. Van Rosi tailored an extensive playlist to this event - yet they responded to our requests with charm and flexibility, Ligia going to her capacious "library" of songs to please the audience. The community welcomed back Jimmy & Ligia Van Rosi for a great night out at the Legion. These amazing musicians from Toronto laid the soundtrack for the evening. Delicious treats and toe tapping music brought together a community of individuals to celebrate the coming of summer. It was a fantastic night for all who attended!

Dundas Community Services was extremely pleased to have Van Rosi as our main entertainment for our 40th anniversary party. They had a great variety of music, spanning almost 50 years that suited everyone's taste. This duo is well worth taking a listen to.
