The Western Heads East Project held a fundraiser called “In The Market For Western Heads East.” Guests arrived to the experience of an East African market with stalls featuring food and wine pairings, art for sale, poster programs of student interns, a silent auction and buskers about the room. Guests entered to the upbeat tempo of Van Rosi who created the vibrant mood of a market with their traditional African folk music. Dignitaries such as the High Commissioners and Ambassadors of Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia and Zimbabwe, as well as the campus community at The University of Western Ontario commented on how the event brought the warmth of Africa to a winter night in London, Ontario. Thank you Jimmy and Ligia Van Rosi for sharing your talent and energy which contributed to the warmth of Africa at the event.
